Justice League: Battle for Metropolis at Six Flags Magic Mountain, Ca

My Role: Designer, and art director

Company: Sally Dark Rides

This thrilling interactive dark ride was the final and grandest installment of  Justice League: Battle for Metropolis that can be found at 7 Six Flags Theme Parks. Being close to both Disneyland and Universal Studios Hollywood, Six Flags wanted to plus this version of the already award-winning ride. To answer this challenge the story adapted with the addition of Harley Quinn and some new scenes.

While I was with Sally, I was given the challenge of re-designing several of the show sets including but not limited to the Hall of Justice, Cyborg's Lab and the load area. In addition, I art directed and managed both the scenic build of the show sets, and also field art directed the installation of this attraction including set dressing. Other design responsibilities included: animatronic designs, themed graphic design and 3D previsualization. During the install, I collaborated closely with the creative director, project manager(s), scenic vendor, media vendor, lighting vendor, interactives vendor, park leadership, construction team, and ride system vendor to ensure the visual quality and guest experience met the standards of Six Flags and DC/WB Studios. Everyone involved in the production of this fun ride did fantastic work, and it was recognized by being awarded a THEA for Outstanding Achievement - Attraction, 2018.
